To give flowers is to give a precious part of nature. Floral Artist, Kevin Smith AIFD, CFD, NAFD, believes that when creating floral compositions, you create floral artistry. Each is distinctive and imaginative is its own right; just as in nature all are unique.

As Artists develop there own creative style they look to the future while learning from the past. Kevin’s passion not only lies in creating dynamic designs, but also in teaching, educating and learning from others. Since 1982 he has been a teacher for Southeast Community College in Nebraska, a multi-campus system. Kevin speaks with passion on the joy that flowers bring to people. Kevin’s Great-Grandfather, ensured that whenever company came to the farm, they left with a hand wrapped bouquet of flowers. Kevin continues that legacy, that every person deserves flowers.

Flowers to wear: corsages and boutonnières, a contemporary, modern and youthful way to create floral art with function. That is really contemporary, energetic and fun. The High School Peeps love their homecoming and prom creations.

Flowers to share; fabulous designs to share with others that create awesome impact. These are non-traditional, geometric, funky and festive works of art that are filled with stylized, linear motion. Created for events, homes, and office, as well as personal gifts. Dare to share!

Flowers to cherish; Wedding flowers that are filled with charm, elegance and romance. Romantic bridal bouquets filled with bold color, and personalized for the wedding couple. Each wedding is uniquely different and Kevin strives to create unusual and amazing designs to fit the coolest of brides.

In 2007 Kevin was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers. This prestigious designation is the highest afforded recognition of design excellence in the world. In addition, he was inducted into the Nebraska Academy of Floral Designers, which is The Nebraska Florist Society award for design excellence.

Kevin is a member of The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), The Society of American Florist (SAF) and The Nebraska Florist Society (NFS).
